Tree service questions, answered straight.

The common ones

It depends on the size of the tree, how close it is to the house and how much cleanup there is. Text a photo to (440) 637-6413call or fill out the form and we'll give you a fair price.

Yes, every time. We rake up the twigs and branches, haul away the debris and stack the logs if you want them. If you're not happy with how we left it, we come back.

Usually pretty fast. A lot of times the owner can come look at it the same day.

Yes. When there isn't room to drop it, we take it down in sections and lower each piece so it never touches the house.

Yes. We'll cut it into logs and stack it for you.

No. You get the same fair price you'd get any other week.

Not always. As long as we can get to the tree and we've agreed on the work, we can take care of it.

We're based in Willoughby and work across Lake County, including Willoughby Hills, Wickliffe, Eastlake, Willowick, Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Kirtland, Painesville and Concord Township, plus Euclid and Chardon. Not sure if you're in range? Just ask.

Tree Trimming and Pruning

It depends on how big the tree is, how many branches need to come off and how hard they are to get to. Text a photo to (440) 637-6413call or fill out the form and we'll give you a fair price.

For most trees, late winter while the tree is dormant. In Ohio, it's best not to prune oaks from spring through mid-summer because of oak wilt. Dead or dangerous branches should come down whenever you notice them.

It depends on the tree and how fast it grows. A lot of trees only need it every few years. If branches are getting close to the roof, the siding or the driveway, or you're seeing dead wood, it's time to call.

For the line running from the pole to your house, we can usually help. For the big lines on the poles along the street, call your electric company first. That's their job and it's a safety thing.

Yes. Every branch gets cleaned up and hauled away, and we rake the yard when we're done.

Not when it's done the right way. We cut what needs to go and leave the tree healthy. What hurts a tree is topping it, and we don't do that.

Storm Damage Cleanup

As fast as we can. Call or text us a photo as soon as it's safe and we'll tell you when we can get there. A lot of times the owner can come look at it the same day.

Yes. We take it off carefully, piece by piece, so nothing else gets damaged. Then we clean up the yard and haul everything away.

Call your electric company first and stay away from it. Once the power company says it's safe, we'll take care of the tree.

That's between you and your insurance company, but take pictures before anything gets moved. We're happy to give you a written estimate for the work.

Yes. All the debris gets hauled away and the yard gets raked. If you want to keep the wood, we'll cut it into logs and stack it.

Tree Transplanting

No. Younger, smaller trees move a lot better than big established ones. If a tree is too big to move safely, we'll tell you straight.

When it's dormant. Early spring before the leaves come out, or fall after they drop.

It depends on the size of the tree and where it's going. Text a photo to (440) 637-6413call or fill out the form and we'll give you a fair price.

Smaller trees moved at the right time and watered steadily have the best shot. Nobody can promise every tree makes it, but we'll give you an honest answer before we dig and tell you exactly how to take care of it after.

Water it steadily through the first season while the roots get established. We'll tell you exactly what to do for your tree.

Yes. That's most of what transplanting is. We dig it out with as much of the root ball as we can, prep the new spot and plant it.
